CURIOSITY Collages
We seldom have the time to look closely at objects that are both decorative and useful that have been thoughtfully designed and made by skilled craftsman over the many years - drawer handles, coins, military buttons, and tiny, delicate gears inside clocks…
I CELEBRATE THESE!
I absolutely love making collages and I think the history of objects makes them more meaningful and beautiful. I so very much hope you agree.
I have long been a decorative painter but I love to try many kinds of creative endeavors. When Country Rustic became the popular decorative style with barn wood birdhouses and such, my husband, Mike and I began collecting antique bits and pieces to decorate things we made. When the Rustic style ended, I was left with lots of small old pieces to play with. Mike often traveled internationally with his interest in archaeology so I was also able to use the beautiful foreign money he brought home. Play time began!
